Tube style fuel sending units are ideal for applications where conventional swing arm senders will not fit due to clearance issues. Tube style sending units are also less susceptible to cause erratic readings due to fuel slosh in a tank where baffles are not present.
The length of the sender tube is specific to tank depth and requires at least a ¼″ clearance between the bottom of the tube and the bottom of the tank. As an example a tank that measures 8 ¾″ deep would require an 8″ tube style sender.
Each unit uses a standard SAE five hole mounting flange and comes with the necessary gasket and installation hardware. Standard tube style sending units are compatible with gasoline and diesel fuel that contain up to 10% ethanol (E10). Senders compatible with higher blend ethanol based fuels such as E85 are available through custom order.
